The best thing about the event world is the people we meet and the memories we create.  However, it seems we are so focused on the event that we forget that everyone we encounter has a personal life with heartache, joy, stress, excitement, etc.  We send countless emails to one another, have daily zooms, but we are rightfully focused on one common goal, the success of the event.

In this blog, I share some vulnerability, lifting the professional veil, and letting you into my world for a moment (however for all of you that know me, ‘professional’ is probably not a word you would use lol).  For those of you who don’t know me, I am the creative director at Eight One Events and am part of an amazing team that has created some spectacular events these past two years.  However, I am also someone that started the process of adoption in 2020 and it finally had a happy ending.  The publication “Gays with Kids” did a feature on our journey and I’d love to share it with all of you.  Remember, behind all our event personas is a person with a story, and here is one of mine.  Enjoy!
